1933 Chatfield

Due to extreme structural issues and unfavorable soils conditions we are seeking permission to demolish the single family home at 1933 Chatfield Road.  We have collected an extensive amount of due diligence, including a Subsurface Exploration consisting of soil test borings and obtaining both a Geotechnical Engineering Report and a Structural Engineers assessment. Both Engineers reports determined that the poor soil conditions are responsible for the dramatic structural issues found in the home and will continue to cause the home to settle.

We set out to salvage the house but after extensive research and planning we determined that the structure was so far gone and the effort to salvage so great that it far outweighed the value of the home. It is our desire to build a new single family home on a modern foundation that will feature historic details and blend with the surrounding homes. (see our work http://www.matrka.com)

We would like to invite anyone with interest to an open house at 1933 Chatfield in order to see the existing conditions for themselves. We have two dates for the open house:  April 8th from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm and April 13 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm.
